The Tournament Process

The Word Turbo tournament is similar to a tennis tournament. There is an elimination bracket draw. If a player wins his board match by having the most points, his opponents are eliminated from the tournament and the winner goes to the next bracket level. The loser of a match is does not progress to the next bracket level.

If a player wins a brackett level with 6 boards, then the winner goes to the final board.

A Word Turbo board is 23 spaces by 23 spaces and approximately 204 letter tiles to place on a space to make a word.
To create challenge and adversity. Board shapes and sizes may change.
The spaces with offer double and triple the letter and word score may be placed on spaces throughout the board.

See the game “Rules” on another page. A standard board has 529 spaces and 204 letter tiles. Each letter has a different point score.

Each player is allotted a total 20 minutes to play during the entirety of each board game. With 6 players the maximum time of play is 120 minutes, but like will be less since each player will not use their entire 20 minutes.

Long Term Planned Development – Future crowdfunding Phase

A tournament with  6 players per board and 216 entries with have 3 levels of brackets: 216 players on 36 boards, then 36 players on 6 boards, and finally 6 players on the final board. Each level takes a maximum of 120 minutes to complete the game, depending on how the players use their maximum 20 minutes.
